Enough of the Sedentary lifestyle.

A large percentage of our daily lives is spent on our backs and our asses except for those who have consciously decided against living the sedentary lifestyle or those whose work requires they be constantly on the move.

In the daily grind.We live out our life following a routine. Getting off our backs from the long night rest, rushing to the bathroom,sitting for breakfast ,sitting through the long or short commute to work followed by an even longer time spent bent over the desk completing tasks often with little to no time spent taking a break.

At the end of the workday,we sit back down either in our private or public mode of transportation praying we beat the rush hour traffic which most of the time is highly unlikely.

Finally home sweet home.We sit down turn on the television. While watching the 📺 for an inordinate amount of time, we consume large portions of unhealthy foods and beverages we ordered in,we do this until we clock out for the night. Repeating the same sequence of events day in day out .

Eventually this sedentary lifestyle takes a toll on us the longer we continue with it. Some of the health risks associated with sedentary lifestyle are obesity,cardiovascular diseases,diabetes ,depression, gout,spinal disc herniation, osteoporosis,skin problems, hair loss and a host of other unpleasant health complications.

Solutions to combat the sedentary lifestyle

1.Regular Morning Exercises

Incorporate regular morning exercises into your early morning routine.It has many benefits among them boosting up your mood for the rest of the day

2 .Take a Walk or ride a bike.

If your home is not so far from your workplace. Consider walking or biking to work.Another option is to park your car at a fair distance from the workplace so you can cover the rest of it on foot. To make it even more interesting consider using a pedometer to record the number of steps you make each day with plans to beat your previous score.

3.Use the stairs more often.

One of the best forms of exercise that is underutilized,great for the heart and lungs as well as a great way to firm and tone up the butt cheeks because everyone loves a great butt.

4.Sit stand desk
Since you will be spending a lot of time sitting to complete your assigned task which is no fault of your own. You can still do something about it by upgrading to a sit stand desk workstation.

5.Reduce the amount time spent in front of the TV set or any kind of screen device.

Sitting in front of the TV set or in front of any screen device for a long time has increasing health implications previously mentioned in this post. So cutting back on screen time is a good idea

6.Going for physiotherapy

The body like a machine needs to be fine tuned to improve structural mobility and optimal function.This can be achieved by booking an appointment with qualified physiotherapist equipped with the knowledge to restore you to a more relaxed and stress removed state.

I am pretty sure that the majority of people live exactly how you described it. The best way to avoid problems while sitting all day is to stretch in between tasks or to get up for a while. I would also consider to walk to work, but for everyone who can't do that I would suggest to park the car further away to at least get a little bit of exercise. It's important to take care of our bodies! Great post :)
