Workout 5/21/18

Good morning from Santa Barbara, California!



Today I wanted to post the workout we ran with our clients this morning in our 6am group class - it's a great way to get some strength exercise in while also hammering some intense intervals! You can really push your productivity by competing against yourself (and/or a friend) by really working hard to match or exceed your rep count on your "bonus" movements - don't worry, I'll explain! :)

How it works:

This workout showcases 5 "regular" movements, plus two "bonus" movements (either no push up burpees or squat jacks), and the object of the workout is to keep moving consistently throughout the minute-long intervals of your "regular" movement, then to sprint all-out on the shorter, 20 second intervals of your "bonus." Since you'll be doing three rounds of this timing scheme for each "regular" movement, be sure to count the reps of your "bonus" and try to match or beat your rep count for all three rounds - it should leave you breathing hard and sweating buckets by the end!

You're so welcome! Yes we do - we have a couple of groups that we train outside, it's our favorite :) especially here in Santa Barbara where the weather is so great year-round! Thanks for reading and for your comment!
