A Day In The Life of a Homeopath: 8th January 2018

1. Update. Male. 5.5yrs. ASD. India. Ongoing Lead detox. His speech and cognitive ability continue to improve. slow & steady progress, his parents are pleased. Prescription: Continue the lead detox.

2. Follow-up. Male, UK 6yrs. ASD. Regression after MMR at 2 years. Has done amazingly well after vaccine detoxes, now talking and fantastic improvements all around. He has moved from a special needs school to a mainstream one now (with support). Remaining symptoms: Remarkable body stiffness. The video I was sent was of a boy who is just stiff all over. Has a very peculiar gait, can’t bend his neck downwards to look to tie his shoe laces, constantly walking on his toes. The NHS doctors have said that ‘oh his stiffness is just a symptom of the autism’ (I think they mean that it’s almost like a behavioural thing) and there’s nothing they can do. He is also very noise sensitive and often dwells on sad things from the past. Everything is pointing at the homeopathic remedy Causticum.
Prescription: Causticum LM1 daily for 4 weeks

3. Ongoing case. Male 9yrs. ASD. Previous great reactions to vaccine detoxes. Last prescription: poly parasites. No reactions (indicating his ongoing gut issues are not related to parasites). Prescription: Poly Bowel + & Lycopodium 200c

4. New patient. Male. 8 years. Male. UK (Ugandan parents). Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder. Clear massive regression after MMR vaccine at 3 years old. Perfect development up until then, after the vaccs within 4 days had lost all his skills! (Any possible link was denied by the NHS...of course. ‘Vaccines don’t cause autism’...’don’t waste money on your child’). (God this pattern makes me so mad!) No support from the NHS & the medics refuse to do any tests. Continuing poor immunity… permanent thick yellow mucous discharge from nose since 1 year old.
Prescription: Hydrastis 200c + Vaccine detox

5. New enquiry. Male. 11 yrs, Canada. PANS. Severe tics in past (resolved), remaining sx: OCD, uptight, anxious, high achiever. Possible remedy: Arsenicum

6. Update. Singapore. Male. 7 yrs. Previously we had given vaccine detox. He reacted with clear detox symptoms, but no improvement in symptoms. Hair test indicated high levels of lead. Maybe this had blocked the vacc detox? Last px: Lead detox. He has had bad colic symptoms, arching his back, high pitched crying, obvious pain in tummy. His mum seems to be describing the symptoms of what used to be called ‘painter’s colic’. In the past house painters were exposed to a lot of lead-based paint. The painter’s colic is actually a sign of lead poisoning. I’ve asked her to finally start the lead detox as this should resolve these symptoms (she hadn't started the last prescription).

7. Update. US. 2 kids. Female: 14 yrs. Delayed onset of puberty + very small for age. Success! We have beginnings of puberty. She’s also shot up in height and is back on the growth chart (there had been zero growth for 2 years before starting the remedy). Her doctor is very pleased. Remedies used: Folliculinum (made from oestrogen). Male: 17 yrs. PANDAS, anxiety, possible Lyme. We’ve made good progress with him in the past. Currently in what looks like a Lyme flare: anxiety, sore muscles, fatigue. Prescription: Lyme & co-infections detox.

8. Update. Male. 3 years. Autism. US. Mentioned previously in this series of posts...regressed into autism after pilgrimage to India at 2.5 years. I suspected parasite infestation and we have been giving a parasite detox. Dammit, you may all be upset to hear: I’m not a genius. Clear reaction to remedy, but no improvement. In other words, it ain’t parasites. Prescription: Vaccine detox + Calc Carb 200c + Poly Bowel + 30c.

9. New enquiry. Male. 8 years. UK. Sudden onset of tics, OCD, anxiety. No obvious cause, possible strep exposure. Booked in for full appointment.

10. Follow-up. Female, 12 years old, US. Delayed speech. In previous prescriptions we’ve had wonderful gains in speech, cognition, reading, creativity from the remedy Bufo and a vaccine detox. Last prescription: metal detox (tests showed high Mercury, Aluminium… elevated levels of which can cause delayed development and autism-like symptoms) + Sepia 200c. “Going really really well”. Great improvements, ‘doing very very well’. Speech continues to improve. ‘Fantastic, like another child’. ‘Her voice has changed...it’s her voice now. Personality shining through.’ ‘It feels like a miracle’. Speech therapists noticed an incredible change. Conversational now - expressing her own opinions. Skin (spots/pimples) 50% improved. Periods much better: lighter, less draining. Drawing much improved - sophisticated instead of stick figures. Prescription: Repeat metal detox + Thuja 200c + Agraphus Nutans 30c. A very happy family!

11. Update. Male. 5 years old. ASD, gut issues. US. Previous prescription: Mercury 200c + Okoubaka 6c. Great improvement in speech. Gut issues remain. Mum very happy as I recommended Keffir to her, and it greatly improved her digestion. Prescription: Continue Mercury 200c + swap the Okou for Secretin 6c

12. Update. Male, 4 years. UK. Autism, but call was for a crusty Impetigo outbreak on his face. Prescription: Ant. Crud 200c.

13. Follow-up. Male, 4 years old. ASD. Ireland. Previous prescriptions: antibiotic detox, which he responded well to. Last prescription: Vacc detox. Very hard detox - became aggressive, pushing other kids, spiked hyperactivity. Analysis: This kid really needs vacc detox, but it was very tough on his system. Prescription: Nux Vomica 6c nightly (to support liver), then we’ll return to detox vaccines one-at-a-time rather than all at once.

14. New patient. Male, 14 years, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. US. Symptoms started at 12 years with blank stare then progressed: eye flickering, hand jerks, falling down, then convulsions on the ground. Hard to get details of the case, it was a bit confused. But it appeared he has had a droopy eye (& poor vision from that eye) ever since a general anaesthetic, then the seizures started after a second anaesthetic. There’s a possible link. Prescription: Anaesthetic detox + Nux Vomica 200c
