My friend's husband is a pastor in Alvin and their church is trying to help out as much as possible. Heights Baptist Church is which one it is (he actually just started today - Lee Peoples). If you need anything, let them know. My parents and siblings live in the Houston area and we were amazed at how much water fell. We had a rent house flood twice before and it is not fun to deal with. Prayers for all the people dealing with the aftermath of Harvey. Blessings to your family!
Thank you very much! The amount of rain was just insane. What is truly amazing is how neighbors, businesses and the community as a whole have pulled together. Progress is being made at a very fast rate. Trucks are driving the streets pulling trailers loaded with everything from clothing to snow cones and hanging them out to people.
That is amazing. So glad the community is pulling together. Now if they can just figure out where to take all the massive amounts of trash this has created... It will be a slow process of recovery, I imagine!
