[HW-Review] From a Sata SSD to a M2 PCIE - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD

I was running a 180GB sata SSD from Intel serie 330 and switched today to a 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD 960 EVO from Samsung.

Even knowing the awesome performance of this M2 PCIE SSD I wouldn't have changed if I didn't need the sata ssd for another use.

But since it's the case, let's upgrade to the state of the art of ssd. I just finished installing everything and the difference is awesome, from a 5 secs boot time to less than 2 secs. Yes, those M2 PCIE are really fast. Loading and closing a blockchain wallet is almost instant. And shutting down the computer faster too. I can't wait to launch a game...

I chose this one after reviewing a few tests, and its price range was great.

The only drawback is to have the little M2 screws in your motherboard package as they aren't included in the ssd package (the ones in the first picture). And both are needed!!!

Installed it's clean, no more cables (from IDE to nothing what and EVOlution).

So yes I would recommend it. And according to the tests the higher capacity are even faster.

And yes I feel the difference compared to the Intel serie 330.

So fair well to sata ssd.
