Steem power mostly affects the weight of your curation rathere than how much your posts earn. True followers are a better meassure for such.

Exactly. The weight of the Steem Power backing your vote also impacts what percentage of curation awards are due to you.

If I recall correctly 25% of the rewards of a post go towards curation. I'll need to double-check that after a good night of sleep. ;c)
