Today's Gratitude
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, many people are asking themselves what they are thankful for. I try to practice gratitude on a daily basis, as it helps reveal all the beautiful aspects of my life, from the grand to the ordinary. By listing the things you’re grateful for, you begin to appreciate the minutiae of your life or you may even learn to find appreciation in the little annoyances of your existence.
For instance, my toaster is extremely temperamental. Some days I will put it on the highest setting and it will require two rounds, other times, my toast burns on the lowest setting. But with gratitude practice, I am just glad to have this appliance that adds some amount of ease to my life, and I learned that I actually like the taste of burnt toast!
Today I am feeling beautifully overburdened with gratitude. This is usually the mood I get after a family dinner, which we try to have occasionally. Seeing the various generations of my family coalescing and gathering together over a good meal is one of the more precious things in my life. My family has not always been composed of my favorite people, like most people, I could refer to my loved ones as “crazy,” and it wouldn’t be a hyperbole. But after spending four years away from them at the other end of the country, to be near them again is a blessing unimaginable. To know my nieces, to watch them grow before my eyes, to hear my sister’s laugh, to watch my father hold my son, these are the moments of my life I treasure above all.
I just wanted to take a moment to share my gratitude, and now to ask, what are you thankful for today?
To be alive. Quite simply.
Every day is a blessing and although every day might not be a good one the next day I know i'll go forward with a wider perspective. Maybe what I learnt yesterday will give me the scope I need to move past an obstacle tomorrow.
Grateful for the love in my life that helped shape the person I can show myself as today thanks to my beautiful and unbreakable mother. To be able to spread that further and further is a gift. We all have something to gift one another.
My life has dramatically changed the past 2 years, and quite dramatically so the past year.. in a way many would say is backwards. But as i've goone 'backwards' I feel like I have created the room for perculiar growth and understanding remaining largely quiet alot of the time only seeking to listen and understand another persons perspective on things.
I have been incredibly humbled during this time, it was a sense of self-hate turned into loathing which was really negative but forced changed in myself, constantly learning how to adopt a positive mindset regardless of these things was difficult but i can damn well say listening and understanding was the key to unlocking that for me.
Grateful for all of these things, for the ability to give the gift of gesture and kindness to people. Much love to all!

He said to me: Do not give up in the way and you walk in the dark tunnel will see the light at the end follow him.
But I wrote his saying in a paper and burned it and made that light myself and in my place and therefore I burnt this principle that says the light at the end of the tunnel and created a new term that makes you create the light yourself and do not need to cling to false hope at the end of the tunnel As you walk towards the end of the tunnel, That wise has been extinguished in you the light and made you worship his false light ..... Make your own principle
Nice pic. As you say you like the burnt toast i think your taste is really something different then other people.

The first thing is to thank GOD for giving us one more day of life, then for the things that he has given us until this day and for allowing us to obtain a great family of steemians, since that is what we are !!
Yes i agree with you.....We got to be thankful for everything, breathing alone is enough.....when a man is not grateful, he is not better than a great fool.
