Hair donation for somebody who needs it

So I did it, I cut my hair! And I am donating it to a worthy cause. I am donating my hair for people who need wigs because of illnesses they face. The Hairshares project was first brought to my attention through Whaleshares discord group. And I always want to help others, especially kids.

Special shout-out to @nepd, who brought such an amazing initiative on the platform and @patelincho, who may not use steemit anymore, but was the one who I first heard about the charity from.

I live in Germany right now and unfortunately as my hair is bleached and then colored I could not find anybody to donate to, the rules here are pretty specific. But a google search with the help of google translator helped me find a Charity in Netherlands that accepts any hair, even gray! So I am sending my package on Monday as it is evening here already. I am very excited about it.

I didn't really want to cut my hair, but I had to, because I want to grow out my natural hair, I was going to go to the hairdressers time over time just to take it off little by little, that is, until I learned that my hair is actually useful for somebody else. So here I am sitting with my short hair. I only intended to cut off 20 centimeters, but it turns out my hair was colored all the way up to 27 centimeters, so that is what went in the bag. Plus the hairstyle took around 3 more cm from what I had.

I am so happy about the fact that I will be able to help somebody with what I did, I am going to directly affect a strangers life in a positive way. It took me a lot of convincing myself and thinking about it, ever since I found out about the program, but I finally mastered the courage to cut what I had on my head, and I feel so good that I did. It will take me a while to have my hair back, but the wait is definitely worth it.

If you have anybody with longer hair, anybody that is thinking of a new hairstyle, there are always people who need help and this is not taking much from a person. Hair grows back. The feeling you have after doing something good for someone else is amazing.
