Mizu No Oto - Every Image Has Its Haiku - Edition # 39 (English)
the sky and sea, blue.
Birds will return.
Hi poets; @bananafish promotes a magical contest in which I encourage you to participate. A photograph provided in the post will be your inspiration to make a Haiku. To review the rules, and some meanings, you can review Here.
I invite @aurodivys, @isauris, @adncabrera, @salvao and @oacevedo to participate in this edition of Haiku in English.
Almost no bird on that beach, but a sea full of small fish.
The fact that you mentioned them, however, seems to me a fine example of ma, of which I spoke in the last edition.
There are no birds in the picture. They represent, in my Haiku, what is not present but we know that they can be. Thanks for his teachings @bananafish
Yes the blues! I was also struck with them - the blues that are not quite blue. I'm glad you put them in your piece, I couldn't quite do it.
And no birds! That's what is missing - I couldn't put my finger on what was not there. But as you say, they are not gone forever, this is just one moment in time. I get a sense of sadness from your haiku, grief maybe.
Very very nice haiku.
Your comment is very beautiful. The blues were obvious. Even with different shades the sky and the sea will always be blue. But birds, as in Noah's Ark, birds indicate a sign of life, a sign of hope; and although they are not there, I feel them.
Thanks again and regards @owasco
