Feel The Haiku: At The Casino
Do you love the excitement of going into a casino or does the atmosphere with all the glitter and noise bother you?

At one time Vegas or Atlantic City was the place to go if you wanted to gamble. Nowadays, in PEI, you just have to go to a local bar and you will find five to ten VLTs (Video Lottery Terminals). There is also a casino with card games along with the gambling machines.
A race track and lovely dining room are connected with the casino. They dangle a few carrots ...when gambling you can rack up points towards a free dinner or cash.
One time I went to Las Vegas before gambling was legal here. I stayed up all night playing poker and kept winning and losing...finally lost the money I allocated for gambling and went to my room.
On the plus side I enjoyed the sights, the shows and the warm weather for the week stay.
Gambling can be addictive especially if you keep going to try to get back that first $20.00 you slide into the slot machine or lost at a poker game.
Emotions run high
Money disappears in slots
Don’t bring the bank card!

Like any addiction, the fun of possible winning, while gambling, excites some part of our mysterious brain and we keep wanting to go back and feel that pleasure again.
Write a haiku about POKER in Spanish or English.
This must be a one-stanza, traditional 5-7-5 haiku

You can always play poker or blackjack and bet candies.

My techies are all manly men so what can a poor girl do while they compare disk sizes or bandwith usage growth?
I let them have their chat and then I set their expectations correctly. 😂
A great post and Haiku, I have been to both Vegas and Atlantic city a few times and love the atmosphere, the small setups in bars just do not do it for me

It’s funny I generally hate crowds but in a casino it’s a cool atmosphere
No free drinks?
I believe most give free coffee or soft drink. If I remember correctly the alcoholic drinks were free in Vegas except if you didn’t leave a good tip they might not show up as often. 😂

Howdy tonight redheadpei! very good haiku write up. I've been to casinos but never got very excited about them although the sights and sounds are very interesting. Maybe I don't have a very addictive personality.
