In the event you get a message from any of your Facebook Friends requesting urgent support to recoup their Facebook accounts, because they've added you as a member of their 'Reputable Contacts'--just don't blindly believe it.

Researchers have discovered a fresh Facebook phishing scam which could even trick an experienced technical user into falling victim to the scam, so helping an attacker gain access to your Facebook account.

This latest social networking scam is abusing "Trusted Contact"--a Facebook account recovery quality that sends secret access codes into a couple of your close friends so as that will help you regain access to a FB account in the event you forget your password or lost access to your account.
According to a public safety alarm printed by AccessNow, the assault starts by an already endangered account of one of your friends, asking for urgent support to get back into their Facebook account.

The attacker describes that you're recorded as one of his/her Trusted Contacts on Facebook and asks you to check your email to get a recovery code and discuss with all the attacker (who is hiding behind the identity of your buddy).
However, in actual, the code you received is not the secret to unlock your buddy's account, but instead, the attacker pioneered "Forgot my password" petition on your account in an effort to hijack your FB account.

"The new attack targets individuals using Facebook, and it depends upon your lack of knowledge about the system's Trusted Contacts attribute," Access Now warns.
You need to know Facebook's Trusted Contacts feature does not function how this phishing attack suggests. To know the way this feature works, you can go on for this Facebook post.

The Access Today says, "So far we're seeing the majority of reports [falling victims to the new Facebook phishing scam] from human right defenders and activists in the Middle East and North Africa."
Although this latest Facebook scam has been initiated using a compromised Facebook accounts of a few of your friends, any of your FB friend may also intentionally trick you into handing on your Facebook accounts to them (looking at how people accept friend requests delivered by anybody on the social media platform).

The very best way to protect yourself is always to be alert to every recovery mails you receive, and browse the restoration email or message with care even if it is sent by one of your real pals.
