Guilty pleasures | Spill the beans!
Argh, how beautiful this is of the lovely @blewitt to bring up this topic, because actually in the end everybody can relate to these kinds of posts and secretly DOES want to share what kind of stuff defines them as quirky.
So hey, who am I not to be in in this kind of topic. I saw some find people already posting their version of this @anomadsoul @abh12345 @modernzorker and that was enough of an invitation to also join in on this.
Is that maybe even the funny thing about guilty pleasures already. That stuff that others see as not okay, or ‘slightly odd’ will define as a guilty pleasure. Or maybe the nasty side of it even pops up with thinking about this, or is this only my dirty brain (crapppppp mom reads this as well).
What I actually mean is, a lot (actually all) of guilty pleasures I don’t ever feel guilty about :D
So the image above of the most huggable doggo in robes having hot choco would be totally acceptable. I love dogs and I would NEVER put them in an outfit, but hell the robe and hot choco is to me mooooore than acceptable!
Music
You all know by now that I have a thing for metal music. For me this is so normal that I don’t even find this a guilty pleasure anymore, but most people would find you weird for it. What is more weird maybe is loving THIS song so much. Woman unfriendly, terrible lyrics, and a video that only men will adore, but hey...come on...play it before you go out, and you will be ready to rumble .THAT is what I call a guilty pleasure!
Food
Same thing here. Loads of food things people consider as guilty pleasures. Salt liquorice for instance as some people from Steemfest can confirm @guchtere @for91days . It is absolutely normal to love this stuff and eat this until you are nauseous and have crazy diarrhea the day afterwards. So guilty pleasures are more something that is an unusual combination I guess. Okay, I used to work in an ice cream salon back in the days and since then IF I take any ice cream (because after some years with ice cream you just don’t really like this too much anymore) I would always take whipped cream IN the cone before putting ice cream on top. Actually..this isn’t even a guilty pleasure, this is mastermind thinking! I just have great taste ;)
Okay okay, I might try to be presenting myself as a saint now I am noticing while of course the whole idea is to get the embarrassing stuff out there, so let’s spill the beans.
I can watch hours of failarmy a day of people who are slipping on ice, and I am absolutely looking forward to the weekend when the snow reaches here if I see someone slip and hysterically laugh at it (after helping them stand up ofcourse, and them burst into laughing)
Netflix
For some reason I have absolutely no patience for movies (Hachi: A dogs tale might literally be the only movie that I have seen in the last 5 years, crap that is a guilty pleasure on itself..crying some eyeballs out on that movie), but I can Netflix until the break of dawn and I have skipped the whole night on series of good looking men in suits. So yeah, watching Harvey Spector in Suits or Neil Caffrey in White Collar I consider extremely well spent time in the middle of the night!

I have a love hate relationship with something in surgery that I often found on elderly people called navel stones. Although I absolutely always WANTED them out, I also always kind of had to gag at it, but the need to get them out versus calling someone else to do it would always win

This is the first place my mind went as well. There was a famous footballer George Best who was quoted years ago,
"90% of my money I spent on women, drink and fast cars. The other 10% I wasted."
I could have gone into the stories from what we used to get up to in my twenties but thought the contest was meant in a different spirit so went food and movies in the end. Those blackhead videos are nasty but you kinda have to watch them anyway.
But maybe you SHOULD create a post about all the 20s stories..that would be a hit for sure!
