How to make a good picture of the moon? My guide and photos...

in #guide8 years ago (edited)

You will need a tripod because it will be a long exposure time ...
ISO will need to be high because it is very dark picture ...
we need a clear lens ...
and recently even need will flash .. :)

Normal...

When you follow the above "good" advice, you will get the picture ... Well, everything is good but why do not see why the moon is not visible, why is not sharp?

First, go to the program M, because then the easier it will be to set the shutter and aperture, and the measurement of light, and so is not useful (for more, trying to take pictures in the machine causes precisely these blurry, out of focus ...)
attach the lens has the longest focal length (200 mm or better as you have). Remember that your matrix size of the moon will be in mm length of the useful focal length of the lens divided by 100, or 200 mm focal length will give 2 mm size of the moon on the matrix (the bodies DX gain 1.5 / 1.6 on crop factor)
turn off Auto ISO, set the lowest standard ISO - 100 or 200 depending on the camera model, set at the beginning of the following parameters:
Exposure time 1/200 sec
aperture f11.0

Take a picture and see what came out - in most cases already have a picture of the moon in detail, with the correct brightness. The sky, of course, is jet-black, and the size of the moon in the picture depends on your lens and focal length used
if it is too dark, too bright, sometimes a correction or iris to achieve the desired effect ...
if you want to ensure blur-image, use a tripod (although at the time of 1/200 s basically maintained securely focus, but with tripod is always better and safer ...)

light processing in the program and such an effect is coming out

Good tips thanks. I just posted a few of my favorite moon pics from recent years

Good work! :)

These are beautiful shots but don't really fit with this week's #steemitphotochallenge subject which is high (i.e. fast) shutter speed/Action. Please remove the tag and feel free to submit some different photos for the challenge. Fantastic shots though. All the best:)

Took your advice and put my phone on ISO 200
Of course, I didn't have a telephoto, but, not bad for a phone. Thanks for the tips.

1.) Pull down pants
2.) Bend forward
3.) Hold camera 1 and a half to 2 feet away from moon
4.) Snap picture
5.) Accept my up-vote and follow

Thank you :)
