This is a great idea. But I believe that it may take some time be as good as Reddit. Also, in my opinion, it will be more successful if it includes the latest releases of popular bands of as many countries as possible. There are apps like Fildo and many other that provide free to download & listen songs. If this development of @Steemit includes as many artists/bands and genre as possible, I believe it may surpass other websites in no time. Also, trying to include regional songs can be a game changing strategy too.
Yes - one thing I am looking at is allowing people who submit music to iTunes and Spotify to also be able to add their music to Steemsongs. This would allow huge catalogues to be added.
