Gridcoin Mining: Status for CW16
Hi everyone,
A new week started, and I'm proud to show my results of my last week. This weekend I was experimenting with the Google Cloud computing, and I wrote a guideline on how to use the free $300 credit to have an octa-core running for two and a half months: Experimenting BOINC on Google Cloud.
Compared to the previous week, my machines received less work units from LHC@home, but this project continues to be my main contributor. While setting up the cloud vCPUs (vCPU = virtual CPU), the client received some work from the ODLK1 project. I could have canceled these tasks, as I don't like this project too much, but I decided to let them run, as they have anyway a short execution time, and I could see some immediate results:

A detailed view on my last week contribution shows already that I'm making more BOINC credit points, coming from the contribution of the virtual machines on the Google Cloud. Economically this probably does not make too much sense, as the price of the Gridcoin is still too small, but on the long time I'm considering keeping one vCPU on the Google Cloud to keep my wallet full time online. Did you think about this one?

My numbers for the 16th week of 2018:
- Magnitude: 4.63
- Daily GRCs: 1.04

Have you tried it? I think it's more like a temporary boost
