Solar Kit - Gridcoin New proyect #1

in #gridcoin6 years ago (edited)

Hello Everyone!

I´ve been "crunchin" Gridcoin for one week ( thanks to @steemmillionaire for all the info ). But i have a little problem. All my computing power goes down when i have to iron, xD. (i need to power down all my computing system before)

So I´ve been collecting info about Solar kits, and i have in mind something like this:

I don´t have budget to do this now so I will be developing this idea in the next posts.

If I get some funds from this platform i will link some videos mounting all the system and showing you how it grows. I will think about how to return the support.

Thank you for the resteem and upvotes! and let´s go !

I have just received the recommendation to put something like that in the kit (151 $ more):

Thanks for the support. Upvote.

If I understand your problem, you should look for a good UPS, not for a solar kit...

I have a litlle Rig, and I don´t have enough contracted watts to do every thing... so a solar Kit.

A UPS is a battery that serves as a backup for when power goes down it also protects against surges. For about 100$ US, you can get one that will last a fairly long time depending on what you are using to crunch. Nothing stops you from charging it with a solar panel either as long as you convert it to the right format.

ok, good idea for the kit. Thanks. Following you and upvote!

I've done something like this before but my solar panel shattered when my dad accidentally dropped some firewood on it lol.

You're going to want to connect the inverter straight to the solar charging controller as it has a "load-out" connection which provides you with the rated voltage. I'd also recommend getting a panel with a wattage that matches your load + power loss, so for a 60W laptop you're going to want at least a 70W panel.

I wish I had the time and money to make an array as such, unfortunately I am left to crunching with solar on mobile devices. Great post, happy crunching!

Thanks for your contribution @delta1512 . Following you and upvote !

Very cool idea but I wonder how the scale would work with this, depending on how powerful of a computer you are running. My concern is that if you will need a pretty large array of batteries to keep a decently power processor going for any length of time and the relative cost to profit will be hard to make feasible. I really hope you prove my inclination wrong though and look forward to following along with your project, good luck to you!

Only the time will tell us. Follow and upvote for your support....to be continue

very intiristing I admire the project
