As mentioned here and in the wiki:

  • one of the effects of the stakev8, which gets effective at block 1010000 (in about 9-10 days), is:
  • that less-rich miners will have a harder time, and it seems that joining a pool would would be better than being solo...

      I dont think it will make a huge difference, we will see but i reckon if you have been solo for a while it wont be worth the effort to go back to a pool
