What's the issue that requires a poll?

Currently, the voting weight category used most often for polls is the 'mag+balance' voting type.

The current vote weight balance between TotalMag (mag) & TotalCoinSupply (balance) is equal (i.e. TotalMag == TotalCoinSupply aka 100:100 or 1:1).

The fact that mag==balance in the 'mag+balance' voting weight raises serious concerns that have been fully explained in the links below:

Why are there two polls?

There are two polls so that we can more accurately measure the views of investors and of BOINC crunchers regarding the mag+balance vote weight type.

Please vote on both polls (unless you're solely an investor, then just vote on the investor poll).

What are the poll options?

The options are as following:
(Balance:Magnitude)

• 100:100 (378 mil : 378 mil)
• 70:30 (378 mil : 162 mil)
• 90:10 (378 mil : 42 mil)
• 95:5 (378 mil : 21 mil)

How can I vote?

Windows users:

Launch the voting menu

• Launch Gridcoin client & fully sync the blockchain.
• If your wallet is encrypted, fully unlock the wallet (not just for 'staking only').
• Click "Advanced" , then click "Voting" to launch the voting menu.

Investors (Balance based poll):

• Right click on the poll with the title "What should the balance to magnitude ratio be?"

Crunchers (magnitude based poll)

• Right click on the poll with the title "What should the balance to magnitude ratio be?"

Within the above mentioned polls, select an option!

• Click the "Vote" button in the context menu that appears. A voting window should appear.
• Check one of the checkboxes (100:100, 70:30, 90:10 or 95:5).
• Click the "Place Vote" button. If you get a warning/error, fully unlock your wallet and repeat the above steps.

Linux users:

QT Wallet:

Navigate to the debug console

• Launch the Gridcoin wallet (QT) & fully sync the blockchain.
• Fully unlock your wallet.
• Navigate to the Debug Console (Help - Debug Window - Console (tab) )

Investors (Balance based poll)

Enter one of the following commands:
* For 100:100: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_investor_poll 100:100
* For 70:30: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_investor_poll 70:30
* For 90:10: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_investor_poll 90:10
* For 95:5: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_investor_poll 95:5

Crunchers (magnitude based poll)

Enter one of the following commands:
* For 100:100: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_cruncher_poll 100:100
* For 70:30: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_cruncher_poll 70:30
* For 90:10: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_cruncher_poll 90:10
* For 95:5: execute vote Vote_weight_rebalancing_cruncher_poll 95:5
