Forcing SSL connection for Whitelisted Projects

One of the most discussed topics the last few weeks has become really hot this week. It's the question of enforcing BOINC projects to use a more secure connection. Many projects don't use SSL. This means that all communication is in plain text, usernames, passwords etc. This is normally not a concern, but it opens up for easy man-in-the-middle tampering. The discussion is still going and was brought up in the latest Gridcoin Hangout held yesterday.

Market Pegged Asset on BitShares

@cm-steem dropped the news this week that Gridcoin is now also listed on BitShares as a MPA.
He mentions that "Very few cryptocurrencies have created their own MPA on the BTS DEX thus far, being one of the few to do so will create publicity for Gridcoin.".

This also opens up possibilities to distributing the GRIDCOIN MPA to participants of the Gridcoin Hangouts and potentially project raining (tipping) the asset onto Gridcoin users (or potentially all BOINC users) for completed BOINC computation in the future.

This has indeed been a week of many new things in the Gridcoin world. Below follows some more happenings.
