Making the effort to get around and comment on people's post is a subject I am quite passionate about, I strongly believe that is the most effective way to bring more traffic to your own blog - people remember you leaving comments on their work and will return to reciprocate to yours - but also your comment is an advert for anyone else reading the blog you comment on - so it can really pull people in.
