Devil's Pool

Devil's Pool, when i first heard about it, i didn't know what to think. Devil's Pool, it is a very weird name, or at least that's how i thought of it. In fact just the name made me look into what it was. So i did, and i was amazed.

Devil's Pool, it is actually a natural pool, located on Victoria Waterfalls in Zambia. It is right on the edge of the waterfall just before a 108 meter drop. During most of the year, the Zambezi river has strong flow due to raining. When the flow clams down the pool is open to public and tourists not only to visit, but also swim in it. Yes you heard me, swim right on the edge of a 108 meter high waterfall while the spray from the water falling goes up to 400 meters high into the air, hence the name Devil's Pool. This river also happens to be the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Since i learned about this beautiful place, it has been added to my bucket list not only just witnessing the magnificent scenery but also swim in the pool, take a look down the high drop and watch the rainbow from the water spray while being on the border of to countries. I bet it would be what we call a once in a lifetime experience.
