My Review of the Steem BlockchainsteemCreated with Sketch.

Steem has been quite an experience for me as I was generally a bit of a loner, and do not socialize with people very often. Overall, I would say the Steem experience is a good one and has caused me to be more extroverted, online anyhow.

On the blockchain, you’ll meet many different people. You’ll read, see, and hear lots of creative art and ideas. All the stuff that’s going on inside of people’s heads. When you combine this with the amazing @GINAbot and the power of discord; it further animates the blockchain by giving you updates about the authors you enjoy, or interesting subjects you like to read about, and what’s happening with your account in real-time.

For the most part, the experience is a positive one, and it draws the best out of people, more so than any other medium that I’ve seen on the net. Additionally, with community tags like #informationwar, or #palnet (which are just two examples of many,) Steem really allows you to find your tribe of people or place where you can post articles in such a way that they are found and appreciated.

Some of my favorite people on the blockchain are those who do live (radio shows or) podcasts on discord, this provides an excellent opportunity to either learn, be entertained, brainstorm, or shoot the shit with fellow Steemians. You folks know who you are, so stay awesome and keep doing what you do!

Besides radio, there are epic Steemians who run creativity and writing contests that add value to the blockchain, especially if you like to be entertained, or read quality articles by intelligent people. Because of the benefactors of these regular contests and competitions, a lot of folks stick around to challenge themselves to get better with every new post they publish.

Also, we mustn’t forget that the blockchain is uncensorable, which is extremely popular at a time when Orwellian technocratic thought controllers attempt to shape and mold public opinion to fall in line with various silly, or downright terrifying political agendas. I predict blockchain technology will become more and more popular over the next couple of years for this reason alone.

Lastly, the gamification or nature of Steem, whereby value gets added to posts at the whim of a stakeholder with a simple upvote, makes Steem very powerful and draws so much creativity out of people. If your reading this and haven’t flexed your creative muscles in a while, or know someone who is looking for inspiration to do creative things, then get them an account and send them to your favorite Steem condenser. “Release the Kraken!” as they say, for you’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain.
