BREASTFEEDING : 10 Things I've Experienced

Breastfeeding is a decision. As the saying goes : "breastfeeding is 99% determination and 1% milk production " (ctto) . Let me share to you some of my experiences.

√ Tandem Nursing

Since my 2nd born is only 1 year & 9 months, the time my youngest was born, i continued breastfeeding her even i am pregnant, and now still breastfedding them both.

√ Pains,enlargement,sores

It's not always a perfect experience, when i was just starting especially when you just gave birth , you'll experince
breast engorgement because it's full, and it's very painful, same with having sore on the nipples , but i've overcomed all of it

√No problem with weigt gain

Since breastfeeding burns 500 calories a day, and i am nursing 2 babies , for now i have no chance to gain so much weight

√ I eat like a monster

Even i am a very small girl, stands 4'11 and currently weighs 48kls. since i started nursing, i always eat a lot, i tend to feel hungry every second every minute 😂

√ It relaxes me

Whenever i breastfeed , my body releases the hormone called 'oxytocin, and that relaxes nursing moms , sometimes it's making me sleepy as well .

√ No Monthly Visitor

Since i breastfed, i've only experienced having menstrual period once after that none at all. so, no expense for menstrual pads, no irritations 😂

√No need for bottle cleaning and sterilizing

My breast is always available for my kids, so just one shirt up and feed, easy ❤️

√ Breastfeeding in Public

Since i love my kids and i don't care what would other say, i've experienced nursing in public buses, tricycles, ship, malls, everywhere, as long as my kids will be ok.

√ Problem with what clothes to wear

Since i started breastfeeding i rarely use fitted dress ( which was what i usually wear before) a lot of times , i want to wear comfortable shirts.

√The bond of love

It's the best thing i am experiencing during this breastfeesing journey, whenever i feed them with breastmilk, i can feel our connection, we're becoming closer and we can feel the love for each other .

Today, i am still loving this breastfeeding journey i have. I will be forever grateful that i am blessed with this free food that will nurture my kids and will make them feel that i will love them no matter what
