No uranium mining by Grand Canyon, for now
A circuit court of appeals held up the ban on any new uranium mines selected around Grand Canyon. The National Mining Association has been fighting for years that the ban be removed and be deemed illegal by a court ruling. Havasupai Native Americans have fought many years versus a half-finished uranium mine which is a safety threat and a violation of their traditional lands. The threat of new legislation through the White House administration to remove the ban still looms.
good news:) West coast already have water shortage issue.. I believe mining will only make it worse
