Mary and Any, “The Irish twins” as people used to call them, were two sisters who were both born in the year of 1990, without being born on the same day. When they were girls, Mary (the older one) was jealous of Any, she thought that the younger received more attention from her parents than her. She tried very hard pleased her parents, she got the best grades in school, she was the star of plays, the youngest marathonist of her country and one of the most important women in the fight for gender equality in the word. However, no matter what she did she would always fell that Any was the favourite daughter of her parents.

On the other side Any, grew up trying to be like her big sister, admiring her intelligence and her desire to excel in everything she did. However, it was frustrating for her to compare herself to Mary, no matter how hard she tried, Mary was always a little smarter, a little more beautiful, a little bit better on anything they did. She used to think that her sister couldn’t be human, she must be an alien, nobody can be perfect as that, right?

Their relationship was one of shadows and lights, fights and laughs, hatred and love. However, the sisters had a bond that held them together, they could fight and make themselves cry blood, but they would never allow someone else to hurt the other one. They were together through the death of their parents, their respective divorces and illnesses. They died in the year 2025, after a long and rare disease that took them from this world together, just as they arrived.
