RE: ⚖Agorism; How To Become Free in an Unfree World⚖

Fascinating reading, I am going too have to catch up on these :)
All caught up and again a fascinating read. I live in the UK our government think it's ok too tax the poor, old and disabled by leave the rich alone plus give them extra as they need it more, they seem to think it's the poor that has caused all our problems so we are being killed off slowly.

THANK YOU for reading my story! :) :) :) I'm glad you've found it interesting.

I have come to believe that human governments are in all truth a work of the devil. Their primary purpose (and they have sadly been all to successful at it!) is to kill and destroy. Sometimes fast (wars), sometimes, as you've said, slow.

Jesus made the claim to be the only one with a right to rule. Logically, the Creator of the universe can make such a claim, right? What endlessly amazes me, however, is that Jesus is also the only possible ruler ever who actually has a heart of love for His subjects. This makes Him the only King that I'm prepared to swear allegiance to. :)

What about Romans 13?
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.
4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

I get what you are saying in essence - that the Highest AUTHORITY is Christ, so when it comes to obedience, He's first if His command or word over rides worldly rulers. I don't swear allegiance to any leader but I will obey the law of the land as is written.

We all know there are tyrants and they are in the land. Jesus didn't even intervene in the government of his day - He told people to pay Caesar what was due him.

I respect your views @creatr and I'm not trying to sway or win an argument....this is just how I see things.

The government is there for the saved and unsaved. We don't live in a theocracy. The civil laws are analogous to the OT Law and they were meant to ultimately bring people to Christ, the Messiah.

I'm glad you have something I believe in I respect that but I'm unfortunately not a believer, I wanted to be when I was younger but all this bad stuff kept happening to me . I hope that doesn't stop us being friends.
I do believe our governments are evil, the things they are getting away with his disgusting, they have caused so much poverty here , killed disabled people and starving children gets me so mad.

Sweetie, no worries! It would take a lot more than differences in what we believe to prevent me from being your friend! I hope that when I mention what I believe it won't affect our friendship from your side; it's just "who I am" to let you know what I really think. ;)

Not at all I totally respect your beliefs and glad you have something or someone to believe in :)
