The Shame in Voting for Hillary Clinton

I can understand how people can vote for Clinton out of fear of Trump.

I can't understand how anyone can vote for her proudly with any knowledge of her militaristic foreign policy including support for dictatorships and arms deals that contribute to bloodshed and brutality (Saudi Arabia), support for racist policies (1994 crime bill), support for the death penalty, support for fracking (which worsens climate change), opposition to secularism ("Belief in God is what America was founded upon"), and complete lack of a position on the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Only months ago, she supported the TPP, opposed decriminalization of marijuana, and opposed universal health care. She's flipped on that last one four times now by my count. That doesn't inspire trust.

Neither does her voting for the Iraq War, saying she regretted it, then defending it again.

It's okay to engage in regime change because, who knows, that dictator we just toppled could have become the next Hitler.

Watch as Hillary Clinton defends her Iraq War vote and tell me you still support her with enthusiasm.

And is there anyone left who still isn't convinced that the DNC primaries were rigged? Even the New York Times called it a conspiracy. That was the entire reason Debbie Wasserman Schultz lost her job as DNC chair. This level of manipulation should not be overlooked. Nor should it be tolerated.

We should be ashamed that we've let the Democratic Party fall into corruption and slide to the right on too many important issues. Clinton's neoliberalism is a step backwards into moneyed interests, American privilege, and violent warfare.
