Cache Of 🌅 Golden Hour Photography
2009 Redoubt Volcano Blew Some Ash
Marked as March 31st of 2009 this is a older
golden hour I took when the mighty mountain
blew. Was my first experience with a live one
volcano. This photo is not very big in size.
It was exciting and some what hair raising.
Deep down primeval forces inside me said
remember Pompeii. BB ash pellets fell
on our wooden deck, the sound was unreal!
These little spheroids stayed intact until
stepped on.
We live near four active volcanoes 🌋
Mt Redoubt is one of them, Iliamna, Spurr
and Augustine are the others.
Watch um blow when they go at the AVO
live web cams and other information on that
site. We use it to also check if there is a nice
sunset going on or if the roads are all white!
Alaskan cache raised up little nano cabin to
store things in away from critters.
That is where we keep the roast, shhh Loki
is listening, 2late lol

Must of been something a few ages ago when
the traps were in full fire.
Volcanoes?! I will stick with earthquakes, thanks! The smoke makes an excellent sunset, though. The cache cabin is picturesque as can be!
Oh we get those too, It is amazing to feel the
quakes! Lucky no real damage, but wild rides!
Curious how far you are from Owens valley? It's
amazing how many volcanoes in California.

Some those little cabins look just like the big
ones, they are so cute, will try to get a pic of
one where it can be seen better. ❤
You are probably right about california volcanos. We are about 3 hours drive from Owens Valley. (Btw, they are renewing the wetlands there!)

I had ash from a couple of different volcanoes, but have moved a lot so not sure where the jars if I even still have them anywhere, (which I don't think we do) are. Redoubt, Iliamna, Katmai, Spur, even St. Helens, hmmm....maybe I should not be allowed to live by volcanoes.
