Sunrise to Noontime on the Coldest Thanksgiving Day (After) Ever
To say that the air was cold is an understatement. It was downright frigid. Frost had deposited in the usual valleys and lowlands as an indicator of the below freezing temperatures.
The bright orange beaming sunlight as it crest the ridge line in the distance, illuminated the Angelica Valley with it's glory and power, to try and rid the landscape of the frost.
Even with about a month or so before the official start of Winter.. the climate has acclimated us to the frigid temperatures early. I was aware this would occur, so I am not shocked.. just bummed the grow season is over, and everything is in dormancy.
Lots of short contrails from the seemingly equidistant high altitude planes up in the sky.. the frigid air can contain the moisture?
But the birdcam still flies like a pearl, after a full year and half of use and abuse.. she still sets sail into the crisp morning sky to capture all these beautiful moments for me.
I am grateful for everything in my life, and thank Heavenly Father repeatedly for what I have been given. I work hard, that is true, but I can be thankful for the results too. Life will never get easier, per say.. but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the challenge.
Lots of high detail photographs from the golden sunrise today, November 23rd 2018.
Oh wow, what a lovely set of sunrise photos @biffybirdcam! I love how orange the sun looks against the landscape and it turns everything else to orange too! And the clear blue-yellow-orange hues of the sky is very fascinating. Angelica Valley has very nicely trimmed grass patches. Is it a golf course?
Indeed it would be the local golf course that had been built around the neighborhood.
Before the land had been cleared for the course 18 or so years ago, I used to play on the wooded property, with a classmate of mine, Spencer who had lived there with his parents and brother.. discovering all the neat things nature had to offer. They wanted his house and land for a while to build the course.. eventually their house mysteriously exploded from a gas leak or something.. thankfully they were ok. Just an interesting fact. The golf course probrably doesn't know that I know.. lol
Ah it is a golf course :) Oh gosh, that is terrible thing to have happened >:( I’m glad Spencer and family were ok from the explosion. It does sound like a scene from a movie. But the photos you shot are really beautiful. Thank you again for sharing them with us. And have a good Sunday there @biffybirdcam!

Wow. Pretty amazing images, @biffybirdcam. Especially with the sunlight that there was available to work with. So, you describe this as a birdcam. I'm guessing it's a drone of some kind. Great resolution, and I especially enjoyed the more golden hued pictures. Gives the feeling of warmth, though, which apparently wasn't what was happening. :)
Well done, and congratulations on the curie, too.
That is an excellent deduction, yes a drone.
Thank you for your comment. The atmospheric conditions this morning were perfect for crisp lighting.
these are some nice sunrise captures :) nice work
Was very cold.. but well worth it. Thank you!

Amazing and stunning photos your have there! Thank you for sharing them.
The sun is bright red. If you hadn't mentioned about the dropping temperature, I would assume that it is hot and humid out there.
Were you in a hill when you took the photos or are these from a drone? I am just curios because of the angle that the view is down below.
Shot from the air!
I see. Thank you.
That is also way many photographer and Artists love Autumn because of change in the appearance of trees when the color predominantly red and yellow and son sits quite low, that is why the whole sky is covered with orange-golden carpet. You have captured every little change with different timing and I must say, one is better then another. Sometimes when in the morning there is frost on grass but once the sun comes up you see how ice is melting, that moment to capture, when ice just starting to melt, that is really beautiful, may be you will think about such series too :)
What an amazing sunrise! Your photos are wonderful and you did a great job capturing the beauty.
Thank you very much.
