$163 self upvote for saying Rubbing it in. You are a real piece of work. While you "flag" innocent posters rewards, you upvote yourself for more. In the end, what you are doing is reallocating rewards into your pocket. Theft.

My point exactly! Thank you for the Support @bitfiend! Not to mention the fact that before my response to him, he posted 3 comments and upvoted himself for all of them.....

Holy.... I was tunnel vision on responding to his bs upvote and just noticed who he actually flagged on this post. @gogogadgetupvote I appreciate what you do for the introduceyourself tag! You of all people certainly didn't deserve to get flagged. You're not the only one either and I think his approach is wrong.

Yeah, I am rather upset about this. This kind of self voting is worse abuse than the scammers he is downvoting. At least when a shitposter makes a bad post and pays for votes, they have to use their SBD to do it. This kind of self voting is way more abuse to the platform than any of the people PAYING for votes. Like, "oh, I have 3 million dollars, how can I use it to bully people today"

I feel you. Plus downvoting innocent people, eliminating rewards. He claims to have gotten all his steem dirt cheap so he doesn't care one way or another, all while cashing out thousands of SBD to bittrex.

Not everyone got in dirt cheap @grumpycat

I got in fairly cheap. (actually, at about the lowest Steem has ever been at seven cents), but I am poor. I put in about 200 USD and after a month or so of trading and posting, had roughly 2000 Steem. But 200 dollars was a lot of money to me. I actually went hungry a couple of nights to buy steem. I wouldn't have ANY problem with being "grumpycat compliant", but I didn't actually do the thing that he said he was downvoting me for... And I almost NEVER selfvote, because it is abuse, in my oppinion. even my paultry 1.5 upvote, I don't give to myself, I give my votes away. Always. But 163 dollar selfvote for a garbage spam type comment "Rubbing it in". That is really the behavior that will ruin this platform. Every bit I have earned from buying votes from bots has gone back into my account to spread more rewards to more users. This guys is just out to make a quick buck for himself. Does a guy really need to give himself over 500 USD (roughly the comment value, with the price of SBD being what it is) for saying 3 words? No, for bullying someone with just 3 words?

Yeah $200 would be a lot for me to invest at any given time too. While he's "fighting abuse", he's not exactly targeting people that are abusing the platform or any upvote services. He is deliberately targeting innocent people. This is his approach to hurt the upvote bot services that allow upvotes on votes older than 3.5 days.

He doesn't seem to care about the collateral damage it causes, either. It's a pretty crappy attitude to have.

If "every" innocent person on steemit stopped using sneaky-ninja all together, the only ones left would be scammers, making it easy to pin point them. However; this is not realistic at all..

More importantly, if every upvote service changed to not allowing posts older than 3.5 days, it would give more time to find and flag true abusers. This is a more realistic solution and it's what he's trying to accomplish. This is his way of getting upvote services to comply, by targeting their customers. However it is still IMO an unethical and lazy approach. I feel there are better ways, and the time it takes to "find your post" can be spent finding "flag worthy bad content:, talking to you to convince you to stop using sneaky-ninja, as well making more effort to communicate with whoever runs the sneaky-ninja upvote service

Go back and look at the comments he left me. He says straight up that I am "collateral damage", then proceeds to reward himself 163 dollars is garbage. And I totally agree. His approach of "attack the customer to hurt the business" is one of the most disgusting practices I have ever encountered. He could have left a comment, could have reached out and talked to me in discord, could have actually CHECKED MY BLOG and CHECKED MY WALLET to see what I do with my post rewards. Yeah, I buy votes from the bots, usually on day 5. For multiple reasons, mostly to give my actual followers and upvoters better curation rewards, but also because in the long run, I earn more STEEMPOWER to support new users and the people who follow me and participate in my contests. It's not like I am taking my rewards and running off to an exchange and cashing them out, I put damn near everything I make back into the platform! grumpycat is sending his rewards straight to the exchange and his pocket. this behavior isn't helping the platform, he is just using these bots as an excuse to reward himself.

DUDE, that's bullshit. My vote was at 5 days, not 6. What a fucking joke, you are a true fucking piece of work. Garbage. And I am the one abusing rewards, huh? Your behavior is worse than the spammers. 5 days, not 6. I didn't do anything wrong, according to YOUR rules, of don't vote on the 6th day. I never did, you just rewarded yourself for bullying someone. You are trash

@grumpycat compliance is 3.5 days for post age. Just remember to check for @grumpycat compliance seal.

Don't care. His behavior, especially the ridiculous sized selfvote, is far more detrimental to the platform than anything I have ever done. If he "cared for the platform", he would have tried to contact me or make me aware of the situation. I didn't even know this "compliance" shit was happening. Maliciously downvoting an account just because they used a specific bot is terrible. "Hurt the customer to damage the business". By not taking a few moments to actually LOOK AT the accounts he is flagging, he is doing far more harm than good. And regardless of the rules he is imposing on the rest of us, there is NO EXCUSE to abuse the reward pool by self voting a bullshit comment to 163 dollars.

That doesn't help the platform, that is just him lining his own damn pockets like a selfish prick, while telling me and my support project that I don't deserve rewards? My post that he flagged is far more worthy of his 163 dollar UPVOTE than it is deserving of a flag. There is no excuse for this behavior. Not to mention the fact that as a good steemian, knowing he doesn't deserve that much rewards, I had to use my voting power to flag his comments. He doesn't deserve hundreds of USD for saying "rubbing it in", and by forcing me to downvote him, he is further harming the platform by removing my ability to spread rewards to people who actually DO deserve them. As I have said, I understand what he is trying to accomplish with the voting bots, but his method and how he is going about it is all wrong....

Let's not forget the fact that this fucking douche uses the very same bot that he is telling people not to use. So what, ONLY grumpycat is allowed to use that bot, why, so he can pay pennies for huge upvotes, and no one else will bid on that upvote for fear of getting downvoted? How is that good for the platform. This is most certainly a bigger form of abuse than anything I have done.

@grumpycat

  • You are using your power to hurt innocent people.
  • You are flaging posts that are less than 3,5 days old.
  • You are nothing but a bully.
  • This post is flaged and I will continue to flag your posts unless you stop your bully actions.
