The God of Revelation and the God of the Philosophers /last part/

in #godflesh6 years ago (edited)

Real metaphysical problems are those that force metaphysics itself to know its limits. This is also their role. They are windows open to the secrets of being. Mind can not explore this secret, but it can bring us to it. This makes its function even clearer. He brings the thought to its limits, outlining the circle of mystery. By revealing and explaining everything within his boundaries, reason prevents the mystery being sought where it is not. He discovers the essence of the natural realities that are trying to become a secret. This is its critical and cleansing function. On the other hand, intelligence shows where the true secrets should be sought. He would not fulfill his mission if he refuses to acknowledge and disputes the reality of where the bright rays of his gaze can not penetrate.

Problems about the "marginal" and "thresholds" of reason are characterized, not only by the fact that he can not reach them, and therefore can not include them in definitions. They are also characterized by the fact that they can be viewed from another point of view: they require a certain existential approach, human contact in its entirety. So is the question of suffering. Any attempt to give him a rational explanation is unacceptable. It can not, for example, to address the coldness of logic to the person who suffers. This is what Job's friends are doing, and that is acceptable. You can only share suffering and overcome it. That is why Christ is the only answer to suffering, because he does not explain it rationally, but it leads him to an existential solution. Also, "hell" is a typical "marginal problem": on the one hand it is necessary because without it all the idea is serious, and on the other hand it is unacceptable, and this problem should not be opposed to nothing other than existential attitude . "Marginal problems" require attention, because they are related to the existence of the personality. And to turn to the personality as a pure object of thought, we have no right. This is also impossible because the personality contains a core that does not allow discursive analysis. It is a distinct spiritual center.

This irresistible nucleus can only be achieved with love, which forces us to come out of ourselves. Therefore, idealistic philosophy, which minimizes thinking, is an incomplete philosophy. The overall philosophy can only be spiritual realism, which obliges us to bring ourselves closer together through love with another person and to reach into it the real reality, this realism, which I can not dispose of, which is unrealistic to the possession and referral to the realm of being. This is, to a great extent, true to God as well. God is above all the one we can not have. The error in the wrong approach with some philosophers is precisely that they make God an object and claim to be mastered by the intellect. However, what masks the intellect can not be God. On the contrary. It must be said that the meeting with God obliges the intellect to a radical reversal, to the move of its own center. This conversion is also a knowledge of God, because we should not turn to God in any other way. At its level, our very act of understanding as such depends on God, it is an existential act.So, to know God - it does not mean to keep it only in our mind, but on the contrary - to realize ourselves as His dimension.

Thus, we see that knowledge of God is both the work of reason and the questioning of reason. In the present case, "nothing can be reasonable or more reasonable than non-recognition of reason." Reason is a necessary means for this knowledge to such an extent that it does not prevent the finding of God, but where it is not God, not to create idols, including the idol that the human mind makes of itself. Surrounding the world of material objects and spiritual reality, he does not find his God there. Asking for his name, even God refuses to name it exactly. Then "reason understands that the true knowledge of Him whom He seeks, and the true vision consists in seeing that He is invisible, and the acknowledgment that He is superior to all knowledge, being separate from all things through His incomprehensibility, as superhuman Truth, Good, and Beauty.
