Company of Heroes: IF you like RTS, get in there
This game is worth the $10 or so, for real. If you like WW2 strategy games there aren't many that will be better than this one but of course it is told from one side of the story.
If you are a fan of RTS (real-time-strategy) games and also appreicate history I think that this game actually does a very good job of both. There is no gathering of resources (which is common in RTS) but your ability to hold particular command posts is essential in determining how many units you can command so in that respect i suppose it is very similar to collecting resources.
This game puts you in charge of certain units of soldiers with things they need to do in order to accomplish missions that are historically accurate as far as World War II is concerned. This is, of course, presuming we have been told the truth about said battles.
Sometimes you will need to be on the defensive, other times you will need to be on the offensive, but for the most part, the gameplay is nicely balanced and the objectives can be won after a couple of tries if not on the first one.
I really liked this game because I enjoy RTS and also WW2 lore. Therefore when this game was available for $10 I took a chance and really really liked it. I would suggest that you do the same (if you feel the same) and there is also a really good chance it will be available for less seeing as how i bought the game 7 years ago.
There is no game trailer that i could find so there is the game-play trailer that well... whatever.
If this game is on special i would say you need to get involved. A few months ago the base game was free and well, that is a good price for anyone. I really enjoyed this game and think it is worth playing for sure.
Put simply, Company of Heroes is a masterpiece. Its dedication to realistic battle concepts and tactical warfare is enough to make it a high watermark for the RTS genre, and it has excellent graphics and physics, along with an intensely enjoyable single-player campaign and multiplayer options, help make this an instant classic. Company of Heroes is without doubt a fun and addictive game. In many ways, it has done for real-time strategy what the "Battlefield" franchise did for first-person shooters.
I have been looking for an RTS game that would really be worth my time, i don't play games much these days so when i do i really want the best of it, looked up the rating for this one after reading your post and i think i will go in for this one, thanks for sharing bro
it should be cheap. it's like 7 years old
I was never really a huge fan of games like this, even though I admire and respect the genre and developers and whatnot.... but it's just not my cup of tea I guess. These videos really help me at least understand the story without having to go through a game that I may personally not like XD thanks you guys, really means a lot!
OK love war games especially games that involved strategies to fight and combat your opponent, and since it is based on ww2 wish truly makes this game a thrilling type of game . I am a fan of action war games and I think this game fit well into my choice of game

If playing this game would make me a commander of a unit of soldiers, then I need to give it a trier. It's an alternative way to face the rigorousity of been a soldier... Lol
I love the history behind the game too, I will try to get it.
