WHAT ARE THE GEOLOGICAL FORMATIONS?

in #geology7 years ago

hello welcome to next delivery, where we will study the geological formations, how they are formed from the movements that are generated inside the cortex, also we will study, as the layers of each stratum, is formed in such a way that compressive layers are created between the strata, product of the study carried out by my person, during the university career, we will be able to observe some characteristic images, so that in a didactic way we can understand much more about the topics of the geological formations, here in this publication I will define some basic concepts of very important to understand the study of these structures. Let's see this interesting article with a great content below.

WHAT IS A GEOLOGICAL FORMATION?

The geological formations are structures created in the terrestrial cortex of the compressive movements that in this are generated, these movements can be of high or low intensity, the mechanism that the adacta earth are a product of the alterations that are generated in the interior, the Earth as a homogenous body not compacted constantly presents deformations in its structure, these deformations are altered every day by the movements that are naturally created in the tectonic plates, said alterations proboke deformations in the outcrops, these are known as mountains, and these they give origin to what we know as formations.

A geological formation can be altered in all its structure, but there is a study mechanism that allows us to know how resistant the formation is. It also allows us to know how the formation is structured lithologically, this study we call "Stratigafia", this is a branch of geology that allows us to study each one of the characteristics of the geological structures, from its origin, passing through its formation, until getting to know all the mineralogical components that it may possess ..

The stratigraphy allows us to know what type of rock has the geological formation, what are the properties of these rocks, this is very important to know because by means of this previous study we can determine if the geological formations have any relationship with the geological faulting processes or if, These structures are internally composed of derivatives of fossil remains, which allow to know if the formations have hydrocarbons, the geological studies that are part of the knowledge that each formation has a structure with defined characteristics.

The geological formations present in these images were studied under my presence, product of the capos practices carried out in the university, a technical development schedule was set up, where the characteristics of each training were explained based on the theoretical knowledge, the training was studied starting from the knowledge of the geographical area and consequently to this the geological study of each formation was defined, the results obtained in the field were brilliant since my students managed to configure the stratigraphic column of all the components of each of the formations geological.

_The analysis of mineralogy allowed to know that there is a variety in each structure, these knowledge also led to determine many hypotheses in the field, since studies were presented that analyzed and developed allowed to give rise to each of the formations present in the images they have a direct relationship with faulting processes generated in the study zone.

As a respective analysis I can conclude that each sample presented, allowed to know the geological characteristics of each of the geological formations studied, giving as a final result, that the previous knowledge in the theory were of great interest to understand the internal behavior of the crust terrestrial, in relation to how compressive and distensive movements can generate geological structures of such great size. Later I will publish a next chapter related to this study of geological forages.
