What's up Steemians? We're going back to geography topics and today we represent you the most crowded island on our planet - Santa Cruz del Islote.

This tiny but densely packed island is located on the Caribbean coast of Columbia and it's four times dense as Manhattan. Island has no running water or any other resources and local population is living from fishing and tourism. Almost every family here owns a little boat and on the ground there are no vehicles because whole island has the size of two football (soccer) fields which makes cars useless. Except water, population of this island also has a problem with electricity. There's only one generator and eletric energy is limited so they use it for only 5 hours a day. People on this island are living in piece and police isn't neccesary as everybody know each other. The total population of this island is 1247 people who live in 115 houses that cover most of the ground. Santa Cruz del Islote has 2 shops, a restaurant, night club and a school in which works 12 teachers. More than thousand people visits this island yearly and the main tourist attraction is diving with many autochthonous animals and foreign sorts. One more interesting thing about this island is that its population is mainly composed of young people (around 60%). Although people of this island are considered as poor they actually live a pretty happy and joyful life. They usually spend their time swimming, diving, dancing and playing in the streets.
