Today's Sustainable Feast in the Garden of Eden
It is a great day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!
We made a delicious feast for our volunteers today, cooking over fire using our handmade earthen rocket stoves in our sustainable outdoor kitchen! As usual, there was more than enough food for everyone, and we are happy to share our abundance with you.
We had a truly beautiful and and wholesome feast today!
We made parmesan crusted white fish filets, spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce, and sautéed veggies, and it was incredibly delicious and satisfying!
We crusted thin filets of white fish in parmesan and herbs and baked it until crispy golden brown but flaky and tender. It was incredible! Some of us went so far as to say this was our favorite dish of recent memory.
We prepared a tangy creamy sauce to top the fish for those who wanted a bit of dressing. This is similar to a tartar sauce because it is mayo based with pickles, and we added onions, herbs, and horseradish too.
We boiled a large pot of spaghetti noodles to serve on the side of our fish. Some of us prefer not to eat gluten every day, so noodles are a once in awhile treat for us.
We made a rich and flavorful tomato sauce to top our noodles. This has roasted tomatoes with onions, garlic, and herbs. Cooked tomatoes have more lycopene than raw tomatoes, which is a powerful and important antioxidant.
We also prepared green beans, yellow squash, and onions as another nutritious and delicious side dish.
This meal was a truly epic feast!
There was plenty of food for everyone, and we shared the meal in gratitude for another day in this fantastic life!
Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food!
We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.

Another very tasty looking post from @gardenofeden. Always a pleasure to see these, how delicious and healthy everything looks. I just had some salad myself so I'm not drooling while looking at the photos and reading the descriptions. This would be great for a family get together. I usually end up cooking for just myself so this would be way too much for just me. Doesn't mean I can look and seeing the great this cooking style and how all the sustainable ingredients are being used.
That food looks amazing and soooo delicious. So inspiring. I think the green beans, yellow squash and onions looks great as a side. Starting to feel hungry now lol
