Sustainable Feast in The Garden of Eden

It is a rainy but happy day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!

We made a delicious feast for our full time volunteers on our indoor wood burning stove rather than on the rocket stoves of our sustainable outdoor kitchen. We stayed nice and toasty, had a fantastic meal, AND heated water for showers for super sustainable efficiency. As usual, there was more than enough food for everyone, and we are happy to share our abundance with you!

We made a beautiful, light feast!

We had a delicious and healthy spread with spinach salad, fruit salad, a few kinds of cheeses, salmon frittata, and our beloved activated water.

We offered a lovely fruit salad on our table. This has honeydew melon, raspberries, apples, and kiwis for a touch of sweetness, excellent texture, and plenty of healthy vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

We made a simple and light spinach salad dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. This is packed with iron, fiber, zinc, and vitamins K, A, E, and some Bs.

We made a yummy frittata with flaked salmon, herbed cheese, zucchini, tomatoes, and fresh herbs. This was a rich entree that paired nicely with our lighter salads!

It was a delicious meal with plenty of food for everyone! The frittata was especially delicious topped with our fluffy herbed goat cheese.

Hydration is extremely important, and we are happy to highlight our activated water in today's feast! Every day, we add herbs and/or fruit to our filtered water to give it more flavor and life force. Today we added sliced apples and a splash of apple juice! It is very tasty and more hydrating than plain water, plus it has more nutritional compounds in it. This water has changed many lives!

Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food!

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is our indoor wood burning stove in action - it cooks our food, warms our communal space, and heats water for hot showers all at the same time!
