It is a blessed day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!  

We made a delicious feast for our volunteers today, cooking over fire using our handmade earthen rocket stoves in our sustainable outdoor kitchen! As usual, there was more than enough food for everyone, and we are happy to share our abundance with you.

We had a fantastically productive and super busy day, so we made a very light and easy to eat feast with Caesar salad, quesadillas, and vegan pizza!

We have a very small crew at the Garden of Eden today, but there was still more than enough food for everyone to eat as much as they wanted. And with such simple finger foods, it was easy to have dinner while staying focused on our tasks at hand!

We started with a refreshing Caesar salad. This has crunchy, fresh romaine lettuce topped with creamy and slightly tangy Caesar salad dressing, chopped tomatoes, red onions, parmesan cheese, and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds for extra crunch and healthful compounds.

We served a vegan pizza today! This is made with a gluten free crust, non-dairy cheese, and veggies. It is a different texture and flavor than regular pizza, but it serves as an acceptable substitute for our non-dairy and non-meat eating friends. 

Non-dairy cheese usually doesn't melt very well, so we made up for that by using cow milk cheese in our quesadillas! These are flour tortillas stuffed with melted cheese and sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms. They have lots of flavor and were vegetarian with no meat.

We served a few condiments for jazzing and dressing our day's simple dishes. We had a nice spicy tomato salsa and creamy sour cream for topping and dipping.

We also served some delicious and nutritious fermented veggies! This is pickled carrots, radish, onion, and jalapeño for super taste and healthy bacteria for great gut health.

It was a delicious and satisfying meal! Thanks for sharing our feast with us today.

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.
