Gardening - How to grow chestnut plant!

For today I want to share with you the chestnuts benefits and how to grow them. I wasn't sure if they will grow, but I decided to try it because that's the way you will know for sure. I have planted few chestnuts two months ago and I had a little surprise: the chestnuts grew! Let's see what kind of benefits have those chestnuts.

The benefits of chesnuts:

Chestnuts are different from other oleaginous fruits by being low in fat and have a higher starch content. 

• hold valuable deposits of vitamin B6 and E, and also slow absorbing carbohydrates, potassium and linoleic acid
• are an important source of carbohydrates, phosphorus, lecithin and vitamin C
• they also contain: protides, lipids, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, zinc, potassium
• the contained calories in chestnuts are not coming from fat, they are coming from carbohydrates
• they are free of cholesterol and sodium, which makes them a good choice for cardiac people
• are a good source of fiber
• contain thiamine and riboflavin - thiamine is a vitamin that complements energy reserves, balances digestion  and riboflavin is a vitamin that improves metabolic activity
• it helps to treat respiratory problems, such as whooping cough
• chestnuts repair microscopic holes in blood vessels and capillaries and improve their elasticity

How to grow chestnuts:

Before I start, I want to thank to @englishtchrivy for her great post that inspired me to grow those chestnuts. If you want to see her post click on the word here.

Here are few steps:

• take the coat off the chestnut 
• put the chestnut with their pointed tip facing upward in a pot with soil 
• bury the chestnut and just leave a little space so you can see the chestnut
• put some water
• next I have made a mini greenhouse with a plastic bag like in the photo below

After 2 months I had a little surprise! Don't forget to water them once a week.

Here is another surprise: I have other two avocados plants!
