Jungle Shots: Holiday Season Datura Flower Blooms

This is my favorite flower, known as cupo de oro here but is in the datura family. It's historically called the crazy tree because consumption of any part of the plant in just about any regard can cause a really strong apparently hallucinogenic experience not for the faint of heart.

They always bloom during the winter although this year they're a bit early with their plentiful giant blooms. They're huge and have a smell reminiscent of baked goods.
