Our garden in spring / Unser Garten im Frühling

English As it is getting warmer and sun is shining, more and more plants in our garden "dare" to open their wonderful flowers. If I go outside, I enjoy the rich variety of colors and sweet fragrances. I would like to give you an impression of this pleasant experience and hope you like the pictures made in our garden! :)

Deutsch Da es langsam wärmer und sonniger wird, "trauen" sich immer mehr Pflanzen in unserem Garten, ihre wundervollen Blüten zu öffnen. Wenn ich nach draußen gehe, erwartet mich eine reiche Vielfalt an Farben und süßen Düften. Ich würde diese angenehme Erfahrung gerne teilen und hoffe, euch gefallen die in unserem Garten gemachten Bilder! :)

Galium odoratum contains coumarin and is used as ingredient of May wine. This plant prefers to grow at shady places and doesn't like the full sun.

Waldmeister (Galium odoratum) enthält Cumarin und wird zur Herstellung von Maibowle verwendet. Er wächst am liebsten an schattigen Stellen, pralle Sonne mag er nicht.

This Agave neomexicana had to fight hard to survive the humid begin of the year (actually it doesn't mind the cold), but now recovers as it is getting more sunny. In Germany there is no danger that this species is getting invasive, because it is not dry enough here.

Dieser Agave neomexicana hatte die Nässe zu Beginn des Jahres sehr zugesetzt (Kälte macht ihr dagegen nichts aus), aber jetzt, da es langsam sonniger wird, erholt sie sich wieder. In Deutschland besteht keine Gefahr, dass diese Art invasiv wird, weil es hier nicht trocken genug ist.
