It was definitely a learning process.
I built a couple of cold frames to start my season early, because Canada just is too cold to have a hoop house.
What ever works... however... think bigger!

I like those hoop houses! I'd like to be able to cover my entire main garden that way, but I can't afford that much material this year. At least I have my new greenhouse that we built last year. I'll be growing a lot of my tomato plants in it this year. They like the heat, but I have to remember to help them with pollination. The bumblebees seldom come into the greenhouse, so I have to help the plants myself.

I forgot to ask, how is the weather there, still cold?
Would you ever want a koi pond or any kind of water feature around/in your garden? I often think about that when daydreaming about having a larger garden and food forest.
Yeppers, some sort of water feature in my gardens would be lovely!
