Planting Honeydew And Onions - Gardening Report

Honeydew is one of my favorite fruit during summer. I like it more than melon as it has a special flavor. I used to buy it from the farmers market as we had only a few each year. It's not easy to grow it, needs a special soil and I'm not sure pours is suitable for it but we decided to give it a try this year.

These are the seedlings already growing, the pot is full of roots, which is the goal of planting them separately, in small pots.

A few days ago it was time to plant them outside. The weed stopping foil was placed on the ground so I planted 14 honeydew seedlings outside. The main reason of the foil in this case is to stop the weed. The honeydew is growing on the ground and in case of too much rain, which happens often, the fruit is not protected and starts to rot. With this foil protection rotting can be avoided.

I can hardly wait to get some nice, delicious fruits as there's nothing better than to pick one in the morning from the garden and have it for breakfast :)

These are pepper seedlings that also needed to be planted outside.

What you see here is all pepper, red, yellow, green, round, long, hot pepper, you name it.

And here it is, my onion field! My hard work is paying off :) It's not easy to plant onion bulbs but it worth it at the end when you see onions growing. These are still young but I have been able to have a few and it tastes great.
