Hydroponic Gardening

in #gardening6 years ago

It's been a long cold winter here in New England and I am so dam sick of snow and cold. Thank god I found the joys of hydroponic growing. For the past several years I have grown sprouts and micro greens in the winter to help me eat better and feel better. I love gardening and growing things, food in particular. It helps me cope with winter to watch the little green sprouts reaching for the winter sky. This year I started experimenting with simple passive hydroponics and now I'm hooked. It is April 10th and I have have tomato plants with flowers on them! This normally would not happen until late July. I also have peppers, a cucumber, a green bean plant, Thia basil, Holy Basil, Cilantro, Arugula, Kale Chard and more. I can't stop! This is so easy and the plants are so healthy and growing fast. You can grow a lot of stuff in just mason jars of nutrient solution. There is lots of good info on Youtube and it can be done cheaply and simply. Here are some photos of some of my plants.
