Picking branches for plants / いざ支柱拾いに

We visited an eco fest called Ökofete at Clara-Zetkin-Park in Leipzig today.

In addition to seeing stands, I was looking forward to picking up tree branches for climbing plants and others.

I was inspired by a post on Instagram by jenniferlynnehb. She made a wonderful trellis with branches. Yes, I enjoy or addicted to see posts about gardening especially balcony gardening or small urban space gardening on Instagram.

Before I saw her post I bought 10 pieces of 90 cm bamboo sticks for 5 Euro recently. I satisfied with the deal but I realized I need away more than 10 😅

So time to pick up some. I found 8 long branches in the end. It was fun to walk through the park and pick branches up. I'll go to see other park next week again. There are plenty of parks in Leipzig.

I'll set them for bitter melons, sword beans, tomatoes, egg plants etc tomorrow. Yeah ... 8 isn't enough.

Talking about the fest, we participated one of the Social Impact Lab teams two years ago. Since then I like the fest and today I was motivated to be back again next year as a plant shop & plant sharing station.

今私が住んでいる家は前の住人も庭好きだったようで鉢や支柱やハーブやあれこれ残してあってありがたく使っています。今年はやたらと鉢を増やしたので支柱が足りなくなってしまい、先日90cmの竹の支柱を10本買いました。5ユーロ（600円ちょっと）だったので悪い買い物ではなかったものの、いかんせん足りない www

来週もう少し買い足そうかな、でも子どもと一緒に家に持って帰るのは結構ハードだしなあと思っていた矢先、Instagramで面白い投稿をみつけました。Jenniferlynnehbさんが、枝で支柱というか植物をはわせるアーチを作っている様子を紹介した投稿です。

やってみたい！ということで、エコフェストを見に行きがてら、会場の公園で拾ってきました。長くて丈夫なものはあまり見つからず成果は8本。明日背が高くなっている植物を優先してセットしていこうと思います。

このエコフェスト、2年前に職場のブースで出展したことがあって、以来気に入っています。今年は一般の来場者として見に行って、規模が大きくなっていることに驚きつつ、来年は子どもと植物屋さん＋植物交換ブースとして出展できないかな、紫蘇やゴーヤや、むふふなんて妄想が止まりませんでした。

そんなこんなの遊んでばかりの日曜日。明日からまた半農半ITの通常営業です 😊
