Actually it may not right to say "fight" as insects are part of the environment ...... but I have to protect my fava beans, bitter melons, tomatoes etc to bring them on our table 😄

It look like an outbreak of a sort of insect this year. I don't know what they are and would like to have some advice from Steemit gardening community.

They look like black dots initially and I thought them a variety of aphid. But seems they aren't. The grown up ones have wings.

Tomatos have them on their stems but it seems tomatoes don't care them. More like they are killed (by tomato plants?).

So I stopped removing them for tomatoes. I still fight against them for fava beans and bitter melons.

I don't want to use chemicals. Initially according to advice on the Internet, I sprayed water, milk and vinegar mixture and washed it away after few hours, which is a common way to remove aphids (in Japan?). It didn't work well. Moreover I read it may be a cause of mold ...

Now I just blow them away with water spray or remove them with scotch tape every two days. Water spray works for fava bean pods. At least less are around the pods. But still young parts of bitter melons attract the insects :(

It would be nice if you know what are they and how can I ask them to leave my plants.

このところあたたかくなってきて、虫との戦いが始まりました。今年は虫少ないね〜、うちの空豆すごいかも！なんて思っていた1ヶ月前。そんなことはありませんでした w

今年は謎の虫が多いです。アブラムシに似ているものの黒くて、観察していると成虫になると羽が生えてくるようです。以前にもトマトの茎にちょっといるのは見たことがありましたが、これは多い。。

最初はアブラムシかと思っていたので牛乳とお酢を水で薄めたスプレーを吹きかけて数時間後に洗い流していました。これは効かず。トマトは虫がいても特に気にしていないというかむしろ茎で虫が殺されているようで、株数が多いこともあり放置することにしました。

そら豆は水スプレーで吹き飛ばしてさやを守っています。茎はもういいや w ゴーヤは若い部分にたくさんつくのでセロテープでとって水で吹き飛ばしています。

一体彼らは何なんだ。どうしたらいなくなってくれるのだろう。知っている方がいたら聞きたいのもあってガーデニングコンテストに応募してみました :)
