Seeing from above

Well not so much as above, as a second story! Our house construction has progressed enough so we can now enjoy a view of the garden from the second story and the kids can join us safely, as there are windows and doors now.

The garden also looks lovely at dusk, with a spring storm brewing in the distance and our mighty ash tree keeping us company and providing shelter, shade and wood, as well as countless offspring that we nurture and give away.

As this side of the house faces north-west, we can also enjoy the beautiful sunsets!

The flowers of black locust in the micro orchard turn caramel in color in the warm light of the setting sun. We try to eat and otherwise use as much as those as we can, as they last only a couple of weeks.

It's a great feeling, being in the space that'll turn into your home some day... some day soon!
