Garage Rock by The Blues Company - Experiment In Color

in #garagerock6 years ago

It's Garage Rock pop but people seem to like it! Over 16k listens and 160+ Likes.

I like the song too. Not in my top favorites but it has a nice up tempo beat and the guitars have a phase effect in parts, which I imagine was a fairly new thing in the mid 1960s.

I don't know anything abut The Blues Company but apparently they recorded this single in Michigan. I hear a rhythm and lead guitar, along with a simple bass and drums pattern. The entire barely over 2 minute song is just the same 4 chord pattern, and the lyrics are unremarkable.

I don't care where you live. I don't care what you do. I don't know who am I. I'm comin' to get you.
Experiment in color (so color), experiment in my brain. Experiment in color (so color), experiment in my brain.

Every night about this time, I call you up, spend my dime. I don't know what I'm gonna do. All I know is, I love you!

1 2 3 4! Come on, love me some more! Ha! Ha! Yeah. Come on, I'm in love. All night long. Come on come on. I'm comin' to get ya. Oh yeah. Come on, help me, treat me right!

So what is this experiment? Drugs or sex? Maybe it's colored pills. Maybe he loves a Person Of Color. We may never know. But try this song out; you may like it too!
