ESPN Wanted To Cover Up Cammy's Ass On TV For The Esports Evo TournamentsteemCreated with Sketch.

I found this interesting. Now that esports is coming to TV there are new guidelines that online streams did not have to worry about. It is something you might not have considered. Games that are too violent can be streamed online but television companies and their sponsors for ads might now want them on prime time television. This is leading to changes being made on the television broadcasting.

One example was a character picked by the name of Cammy. She wears a one piece army costume that looks likes a bathing suit and her ass is hanging out. Yes it makes no sense that she would wear that into a fight. The best part is she also has a hat on in case she gets cold :p. This is her original design from back in the Super Street Fighter Turbo days. I used to main her when I played Street Fighter 4, and no, not because of her butt, but she has one of the best uppers in the game. After she was used for one round, the staffer asked the player if he could change the costume she was wearing for the next fight which he did. It was not a big deal but something you do not consider when you watch streams.

Street Fighter does have a bad history of over-sexualized fighters. All the women are well endowed and this something that might be toned done as the esports scene becomes more mainstream.

Until then, we will have to utilize the costume select.

Here is a link that also has a photo of Cammy:
