The City of Riveria - my Cities XL creation - Introduction
Edit: I thought Riveria was designed with Cities:Skylines which I did play, but actually it was designed with similar game Cities XL. Nevertheless I still think it's worth sharing.
Cities: Skylines is a city building game by Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive. A review of the game by @stonedfood can be found here. A few days ago @cryptoctopus started posting Cities: Skylines game play videos. I am really into City building games as well, and I have also played Cities: Skyline, but another city building game that I played was Cities XL and the videos reminded me of the time when I spend over 9 months perfecting my city. So I thought since I have taken so much screenshots of my city, why don’t I share with the other avid city builders on players on steemit?
So I present to you my city: Riveria
Here is the final state of the city, essentially every square on the map is built up:
The city of Riveria is divided into distinct districts:
(Don’t ask me how I named the districts. Random sounds just come into my ahead and becomes a name of a district)
Each district was design to have a different vibe, just like you would have in a real life city (I admit, I love using mods, and used a lot of custom designed buildings and landmarks to get to the city design I want). I will post more about each district in the coming weeks. I even have a back story for some of them . Here is a set of banner for each of the district, made using screenshots taken in those districts:

I even have a subway map for the city (The map was made based on the actual positions of each subway station placed in the city and how they are connected):
As I mentioned, I have spent 9 months working on this city every single night, so imagine my disappointment when my laptop died and lost my city! Luckily I backed up most of the screenshots, and I sometimes still dream about this beautiful city. It was a company laptop too. I was not allow to have a company laptop anymore after that.

Well it is very different to action RPG so it might feel boring lol, but I loved sim city type game since I was a kid. I usually switch from RPG to city building to strategy games when I go from one game to the next.

You should get the game. It's a pretty old game now, so you can probably get it cheap
