Black Desert Online - How to create a walking loop

in #gaming7 years ago

This is a quick guide on how to create an auto walking loop in the MMO game Black Desert Online.

You might be wondering why you would want to create an auto walking loop in game. I'll tell you a little bit about that first.

Black Desert Online is a game in which farming and grinding is quite common. To improve your character in various ways, you'll need to do a lot of gathering, fishing, cooking, etc. There are also ways to improve your character's basic health. You do this by eating food. Another thing you can improve on your character is stamina and the weight limit they can carry. That's where the walking loop will come in handy.

While walking or running, you will slowly gain more breath. This is one of the things you can level up and it gives your maximum stamina a boost. While walking around with a heavy pack on your back, you will slowly gain more strength. Levelling this up will allow your character to gain a higher maximum weight it can carry, which is handy for those grinding moments.

Another reason for auto walking is to level up your horse. Simply sit on the horse's back, create an auto walking loop and run around. While running, your horse will gain experience and level up eventually. The only thing you have to watch out for is the draining of your horse's stamina. You can put carrots in your horse's inventory and tell it to 'Auto-consume feed when Stamina is low', to truly automate the process. That way, you can run off and do other things (like real life cooking or cleaning!).

Now that you know what this is used for, let's get onto the how part!

It is really quite simple. Normally, when you want to move from point A to point B, you can simply right-click on the map to indicate the spot you want to move to and press T. This is almost exactly like that.

  1. Open your map with M.
  2. Alt-rightclick on a spot on the map, which will give you a blue line.
  3. Alt-rightclick again on your current position to create a back and forth loop (the line should turn green now).
  4. Optionally: If you want to run a circle, Alt-rightclick on a couple of positions and close the loop by clicking on your current position. This will make the line turn green.
  5. Close your map and press T.
  6. Sit back and enjoy the (repeating) scenery!

This game seems quite impressive, I will give it a try definitely.

Ooh awesome! I wonder if you'll like it. Just take your time with getting to know the game, it lacks explanation at some points.

I'm not much of MMO Player, they require so much time and they have so little Story (the reason I play games is their interactive stories), They need daily investment and I can't do that everyday.

But this post made me interested a bit on this game, not much to play it.. but maybe to read about it a little (I'm a walking wiki on games I like).

Now about your actual topic!! IT IS SO SIMPLE hahahaha... I thought you might use bots or things like that... and I was going to question the legality of your "trick"!! But after reading how it's done I feel stupid.

The funny thing is: doing a "loop" this way won't cross the mind of most players.

~Thanks for the Article & Have a Nice Day~

I understand how you feel, MMO's really require a lot of time! I have that currently, so it's okay for me right now, but it's actually the main reason I quit WoW quite a few years ago. I loved raiding in high-end raiding guilds, but it just took up way too much of my time. I didn't want to play casually back then, so I just quit. I've learned how to enjoy the more casual gameplay now though, so I'm back to MMO's :-)

It's a really big game, so you'll have plenty to read about!

I know, right? I didn't expect it to be this simple! But I remembered reading something like this somewhere before, so I just had to check. I wasn't really interested in trying to use bots or something like that. Sounds like way too much effort, so I'm glad it's easy like this.

Thank you so much for your comment! Have a nice day :-)

Thanks for the reply... I have so much to do these days and I'll probably forget about Black Desert Online before I start reading about it.

Completely understandable! And hey, if you forget about it, because you're so busy, it probably wouldn't have been a big addition to your life anyway :D

I spend 1000 hours to that game in 3 months then I quit but I must admit that was the game I enjoyed a lot after a long time. Only problem was hardcore rng factor and korean grinding but that game is 9/10 If you want my tier 6 horses I can give it to you if you are in europe XD

That's a lot of hours! I'm about a month into the game now, so I'm still exploring quite a bit. Today, I decided to check out horse breeding, for which it is good to level up your horses first apparently. It's why I looked up the auto loop option :-)

There are quite a few things I find annoying in the game, but not enough to make me quit playing yet. It's just such a big game to explore!

Those pictures really captivated me to want to start playing the game asap. But the challenge I have with games is time.
This Black Desert Online seems like a "must play" game and btw, thanks for detailing how to play it.

Thanks for your comment! It's a really great game to play, but I understand the issue about time. What I like about this is that you can also be useful while afk, but you have to actually be logged into the game.

It provide from another site Suck it up !

Boy you're a sore loser. I merely pointed out that your content was plagiarized. Instead of insulting me, you could also spend that time on writing your own, original posts.
